CBD impacts inflammatory and apoptotic pathways. CBD interacts with multiple components of inflammatory and apoptotic pathways. CBD antagonizes TLR4, lipoxygenase, interleukins 1α, 1β, 6, 18, TNFα, NFκB, NLRP3, and caspase 1. CBD activates caspases 8 and 9, G protein-coupled receptors GPR3, 6, and 12, PPARγ, ADORA2A, ERK1/2, and MAPK. CBD inversely activates GPR 3, 6, and 12, and allosterically modulates P2X7.
